“…and then [Ginny] was kissing him as she had never kissed him before, and Harry was kissing her back, and it was blissful oblivion, better than firewhiskey; she was the only real thing in the world.”
(I found this drawing on google and I don’t know who drew it)
It’s “Something to Remember Me By” by Reallycorking.
I popped the image URL into Google images and found it.

I’ve always wondered what Harry and Ginny’s relationship was like when they were married. Due to Harry’s past, I have a feeling he might be slightly emotionally abusive towards her. That would explain why she had no say in her kids names. They may have been happy, but I don’t know if he ever treated her like an equal. And based on the way they grew up, I don’t think either would have noticed.I read these confessions and 99% of the time I hold my tongue but I cannot on this one. I could see making this case for movie-Ginny but if you read the books and think that Ginerva “Ginny” Weasley would put up with emotional abuse then your reading comprehension needs to be checked.
One of the reasons that Ginny is a great pairing for Harry is because SHE CALLS HIM ON HIS SHIT! She lets him know when he is being dumb starting in Harry’s fifth year. If you think that the girl who makes other wizard and witches fear her bat-boogey hex would role over for Harry then you fail to understand the character of Ginny Weasley. She is a strong women who is both a lover and a fighter. I’m sure Ginny had a say in her kids names, however, she is also understanding and knows that paying tribute to those who have passed is really important to Harry and the name Fred was already taken by the time they have children.
One final thing. Implying that Ginny grew up in an emotionally abusive atmosphere is beyond absurd. Say what you want about the Weasley’s but they love hard and Molly and Arthur are great parental figures. Sure, the kids picked on each other, but that’s what siblings do!
I’m sure Harry had nightmares and I’m sure Ginny helped him through it but she would NOT let him do anything harmful to her or her children. No.
^^This. This! A thousand times, THIS!
